Warm baked pear with cinnamon, creamy yoghurt and crunchy walnuts for a naturally sweet snack.

Pears provide fibre, including pectin, while walnuts contribute unsaturated fats and plant-based omega-3 fatty acids. Yoghurt adds protein and may provide live cultures depending on the variety.

Cinnamon Baked Pear with Yoghurt & Walnuts

  • 2 ripe pears
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 100 g Greek yoghurt
  • 20 g walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • Optional: 1 tsp honey

Method

  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. 2 Halve the pears and remove the cores.
  3. 3 Place cut-side up in a small baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  4. 4 Bake for 18–20 minutes until soft but still holding their shape.
  5. 5 Top each warm pear half with Greek yoghurt, walnuts and chia seeds.
  6. 6 Add a small drizzle of honey if desired.
