One-off £150 discount off your electricity bill

Cost: Free

What you get

A one-off £150 reduction applied directly to your electricity account by your supplier for the winter (2026/27 scheme year). Prepayment-meter customers get a voucher instead of a bill credit; the money is never paid directly to you.

Who qualifies

You (or your partner) receive Universal Credit, Pension Credit, Housing Benefit, or income-related Employment and Support Allowance, your name (or your partner's) is on the electricity bill, and your supplier is part of the scheme. From the 2026/27 scheme year the separate 'high cost to heat' property score has been removed, so every household on one of those benefits qualifies, not just those in poorly-insulated homes.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE Not IBD-specific, but relevant because Universal Credit's health/LCWRA element and income-related ESA (both already common among people whose IBD limits work) are qualifying benefits in their own right.
